About River Strokes Kayak School - Established 2007
While working in New Zealand 2005/2006 teaching kayaking, I began to realise how important it is for all paddlers to be safe, in control and have confidence kayaking. It is a passion to us that you learn the best skills right from the start and with good coaching progress forwards with your kayaking.

Our aim is to give you an
experience that will take you away from
the pressures of life for a day, to challenge
you in a different way and ensure you leave
with a new sense of self-confidence and
achievement. Its a passion to introduce the pleasures
of kayaking to all ages and abilities, and
pass on what I believe is one of the best
ways to unwind and loose yourself for a
day and have a lot of fun in the process. The courses are fun,
friendly, relaxed and professional.
Joining a kayaking course with River Strokes
you will be able to use modern white water
kayaks with adjustable outfitting. lightweight
paddles, cags, bouancy aids, neoprene
spray decks, helmets and wetsuits are all
included in the course fee. You can park your car at our meeting point and leave the driving to
us. We use a minibus to transport you and
the gear to and from river location. Training
takes place on sections of the River
Wye and River Usk.
Kayaking Gear & Equipment Provided
River Strokes offers the latest in modern whitre water creek boats and personal gear to keep you warm and comfortable on the river. All including in the course fee at no extra cost. You will need your own baselayers.

Leaving your car at the meeting point we will travel to the river venues in our 4x4 and mobile changing room. |
